Canvas Paintings
Fashion magazines such as Elle and Vogue used as collage is in my opinion a great way to showcase the beautiful pictures and graphic complexity. If not used for this they would be discarded once the pages are crinkled or the fashion is out of date. I combine the colours of magazines with the rest of the painting. These pictures help create the feeling of the overal composition.

Wie bepaalt beauty

This painting represents mixed emotion.
This feminine piece shows the confusion of the statement "what is real beauty?". The material things such as shoes, bags and clothes that make us feel good; however, does this really make us beautiful?
Who decides what beauty really is?

Pink Vintage Candy

This painting shows a mix from the old and new. This beautiful vintage woman who is almost showing off, looking in her mirror. This again is a play on the idea of what beauty really is. Is beauty, beauty when we think we are beautiful?

Closing Time

This canvas tree shows the endless ups and downs. Happiness, sadness, closure and new beginnings.
Closing time can just be the begin for a new door that will open, but cannot do so until another is closed. Just like life leaves fall off trees in autumn and the cycle begins again in spring when everything becomes beautiful and green. Nothing is ever straight forward and the bumps along the way make it unique to us.

Beauty

This is a painting showing a woman in intense thought. I think this can be interpreted in many different ways including that things aren't always what they seem. Life can be a lot more complicated than what we see on the surface.
Beauty is also integrated inot this piece. Beautiful fashion in a warm gold and turquoise colour scheme.

Canvas painting for Iblux
Dream Ferrari

Iblux is an IT company specialising in solutions for SME. Erik Vuuregge, the director of Iblux established this business 6 years ago.
The piece that I have designed for Iblux shows that nothing is impossible and dreams do come true. Even though red can come over as aggressive and dominant, it also stands for a strong colour that wins the race. This is a central piece in a neutral office, making a perfect combination.
Iblux is an office of predominantly men so I asked the question - why not have a dream to eventually own a Ferrari by making your company as successful as it can possibily be.
Enzo Ferrari states "If you can dream it, you can do it".
The maker of Ferrari had to start somewhere too!

This is a collage on canvas using acrylic paint and handmade stencils. This is one of my earlier paintings using a combinations of quotes found in magazines.
